Still in the Dog House

Yep… I'm still in the dog house.  Now what, you ask?

Well… here's my story.

It was raining most of the day and you know what that means….. DIGG'N TIME.

I love it when that ground is all soft and muddy.   So I did me some gardening.  I dug up two newly planet flower plants, one gardenia shrub, and just for good measure… I dug me one nice hole in the lawn.    It was a blast!

Unfortunately…. Mom was not pleased.   She didn't even take photos of my all my hardy work.    So I'm still in the dog house and now she is limiting my unsupervised outdoor play time.
Hey… Mom needs to get out more anyways….so I think I did a good job… don't ya think?    I just hope the tree rats don't take over.

Pees…. I heard Aunty D ask Mom if there was a "juvi for dogs".   What's that about?    Maybe I went to far.

Bad Ranger or Clever Dog ?

I'm in the dog house again.  Sigh.
Now..I know what your think'n.   What did I do to land in the dog house?   Well… now that I am one, Mom lets me have more unsupervised time.     So, the other day I was laying around on the porch and got a little bored.   I decided to find sometin fun to do.

I spy a little ball on the stools.   I'm gonna get it!

Well…. Mom came out when she heard me gnawing on the stool and here's what she found.

Look what I did !

Close-up.
I got the little ball out!

B-u-s-t-e-d !
I thought about telling her that Some Doggie did it or maybe it was one of those pesty Squirrels… but I knew she had me.  I was the only one there on the porch and the porch door was locked... so I'm back in the dog house.   I guess I'll have to earn back my "unsupervised time" privileges.

On the positive side…. I'm no longer bored cuz Mom is always around to play with me.   Like how I got her to play with me more?   Pretty smart of me… don't ya thinks?

Wags,
       Ranger

Ps… If you're a wondering what happened to the little ball that I removed… I did not eat it.  I just set it on the floor and went after another one.   I was hope'n to get me a nice little pile of them but my plan was foiled when I got caught in the act.

I Hiked for Park Day

First I'd like to thank my buddies Finn & Charley and Gizmo for co-hosting "I Hiked for Park Day".

We interrupt this postie for an emotional outburst!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.   Did you see that dog sniffing Mollie's butt?   Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
And why is she kissing him???????   She is my girl!    If I find him, I'm gonna bite him in the butt.

Ok, I feel better now.   So…..back to Park Day.

I hiked at Greenfield Park in Wilmington, NC and I can't wait to share my park with you.
Welcome to Greenfield Park.
This was my 1st time to Greenfield Park and . . .
. . .Yikes !!!!!!!!!

Alligators in the Park's Lake?

Yup!   We have Gators in the lake.
I thinks there is only 1, but I'm not sure.

Now . . . if you visit my Park,
 Don't Feed the Gators!

I check'd…. and No Gator today.   That's good.
Maybe he's napping.
Mom says that I should not get that close to the water and she made me get back on the path.

I did see some other really cool wildlife.
I spied me a turtle.   Do you see it?

And . .  I spied me some ducks.
Quack, quack duckies!
Watch out for that Gator, duckies.

So much to see at my park.
I hike near the lake with Mom and Aunty D.

Isn't it pawsome here?

Oh!  Oh!    What's that over there?

SQUIRREL !!!
Do you see him?   Aunty D had to hold me back
or I would've gotten him!
I also spied me some Art!
Look… we have an Art Exhibit in the park!
Anyone wanta play Hopscotch?
After we hiked for awhile, I took a break and went for ride on the swingy thingy.
Look Mom… aren't those flowers bewtaful?
Mom says they're Azalea's.

Look… flowers on the roof.

Now… guess what else we have at my park.
Paddle boats.

And canoe boats.
Now I ask ya…. why would you wanta go boating in a lake that has Gators in it?  A least with a canoe… you have oars to protect you… but a paddle boat?    Go figure.

Thank you for visiting my park and following me on my Hike in the Park.

Lookin for my Buddies

Where are all my buddies?
Anyone wanta play with me?
I had loads of buddies to play with when I was at camp and I'm miss'n them.   I'm gonna have to ask Mom if I can have another playdate with Wally and Finn.

The last time they came over (before I went to doggie camp), we had a loads of fun.

We check'd out the lawn for new smells. . .

. . . and we caught-up on all the latest peep gossip.

And then the sprinkle man stopped over to test our water system.   He got the lawn all wet and we all got a bit muddy.
Baby Finn got his paws all muddy.

And Wally (Finn's big brother) got a little muddy too.
Wally's got a muddy butt spot!  Hehe.

He also got a muddy face.

He may be a muddy mess, but he sure has some mad ball handling skills.  I can learn a lot from him.
We had the bestest time!   I hope they can come over and play with me, really soon.

Back from Camp

I'm back!
I've been in doggy camp for 2 weeks while Mom and Aunty D went traveling (without me… sigh).   They went on a big bird to some magical places called Monterey, CA and Maui, HI.   HI!

Do I look like I need a haircut?
I really didn't mind cuz I gots to play with lots of my furfriends.   'Annie', a little Westie was there one week and we had loads of fun.   I also got me a new buddy 'Stanley'.

When Mom picked my up, on Tuesday she notice that I lost me some weight.   All that running around really burned off the fat.  And Mom and Aunty D were not around to spoil me with all those treats.

When I came home, I took me a nap, then another nap.   I slept most of the day away.   Camp is exhausting (but fun)!

Today… Mom decided that her "little bear cub" (dats me), needed a haircut... so off to the groomers I went.  Ok… so maybe my hair is in my eyes.

 Now… whats ya think?
Ok… I guess it is better… but I'll never admit that to Mom.
Mom is very happy and says that I am real soft now.   Look out…. I see lots of cuddles in my future.  I gotta go now and take another nap.   Grooming is also exhausting.   After my nap, I plan on chasing me some squirrels.   See y'all around blogville.

Why do bad things happen?

Prayers for Boston.

Sometimes I really do not understand what is going on in the world.  Bombs going off at the Boston Marathon?

I know that I am little, but I really don't understand.  Mom says she doesn't understand either.  We are both sad today.

I've been think'n on it and I think that maybe we need more balls in the world.  Playing with balls always makes me happy.  Maybe they can make humans happy too.   Hummm…. I wonder if I can give one of my balls to someone who is unhappy.

Approval Rights

Garden update.
When we last left off on my garden saga, Mom had put a white fency around the butterfly bush and around another one to stop me from chomp'n on the bushes.

Now look what she has done.

What is all this stuff?

How am I supposed to do
my zoomies thru all this stuff?
Ok… enough is enough!   I have to take back control of my yard.

Now this is embarrassing.
I'm gonna have to have a yap with Mom.
I want final approval over ALL future garden changes.  I mean it is MY yard.  I patrol it for tree rats, bunnies, and birds. I dig for vols. I water the yard and plants and I entertain in it (playdates, ya know).

Now that I am One, I think that I really should have more of a say in what goes on around here… don't ya think?
