I'd Rather be Dirty

A WARNING TO ALL MY FURFRIENDS:   If you see this sign…. RUN !!!!!!!
Beware of a DOG WASH!
Let me tell you about my afternoon.   It started out with a ride in the zoom-zoom car.   I really like going for rides, but today…. not so much.  We were cruising along and then we got out of the car and entered a shop.   Mom says she loves this place.

Cool.. they have doggies in the window.   This could be fun.
'O Puppy 'O Puppy... was I ever wrong.

To start out, the two ladies that work there decided that I needed a pedicure.  So they held me tight and took this shinny stick and ground down my nails.

Ok.   This may not be so bad.
Aroooooooooo!   I changed my mind.

Next, I was placed in this shinny tub and Mom got me all wet and soapy.
I like rain… but this is too much!

Can you tell that I am not enjoying this?
Finally Mom finished giving me a "bath" and then she moved me to another table and suddenly it got real loud and windy.
Wooooooooooooh…..   my fur is flying!
Well…. this is at least better than the bath.

Yippy!!!!    Finally all the loud wind stopped.
Everyone said that I look soooooooo Cute.   What do you think?
I think, I'd rather be dirty.

We got back in the zoom-zoom car and made one more stop.   Now what?
We stopped at the Dogster office and I got weighed.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!   I'm a big boy now!
I'll bark at you again soon.
I have to nap for awhile.   Looking Cute is exhausting.

Dancing with Aunty D

I like to dance.
Aunty D, will you dance with me?
I just grab hold of Aunty D's legs and she slowly moves them side to side and I dance on my hind legs.   Pretty impressive, don't you think?  So far I only know the side step.
Hey Mom… instead of laughing and taking about putting on some music for us.
Then I can dance to the music.
I like "Puppy Love" by Paul Anka.

Maybe if I get really good I can be on "Dancing with the Stars".   I do have my Star Puppy certificate so I'm already a Star.  Now I just need to to learn some more steps.

Chow for now.

Beach Pools

Yesterday I learned from my furfriends that it was National Dog Day.   So…. I told Mom and we celebrated with dinner and a walk on the beach.   Life is always better with a little bit of sandy fiber with your dinner.
I like running on the beach.

Follow me Mom.

Here I am playin in a beach pool.

Mom says it is good to socialize, so I run up to everyone I meet at the beach.  Yesterday I met a guy that had writing and pictures all over his arms and on his chest.   He was pretty cool and played with me for awhile.

I also barked at some children that we laughing and playing in the water.   I wanted them to come and play with me.. but they just ignored me.  Sigh….

Then I chased some birds that were on the beach.   I really like chasing birds.
Maybe with the help of my shadow, and if I am really quiet and fast, I'll catch one.
It was a good evening  at the beach.  I can't wait to go back.
I'll bark at you soon.
I have to rest up for my class tonight.

A Bark-Out to my Furfriends.

Arooooooooooooooooooo!   We reached 4000+ page hits today.

All the comments that you write are just Pawsome!
Mom and I have so much fun reading them.

Moms also said that some of my blogging furfriends have added links to me.
That is so Tailwagg'n cool.

This blogging is fun.   Maybe not as much fun as chasing balls…. but I now have furfriends all over the world.    Scotties Rock!

Digg'n-locks and the 2 Shiny Sticks

Yippy!   Aunty D is in my yard.   I like playing with Aunty D.
What is she up to?   She has a large brown bag and some shiny big sticks.

Look at that, she is using the shiny stick to dig holes and then she pulls up weeds.
Hummmmmm.   I'm pretty good at digging and ripping up the grass.   Maybe I can help.
If I use one of these big shiny sticks, I might be able to dig real good and not get my paws all dirty.  Mom would like that.
This one is too big.

This one is just right.
Yep.   I like this one.   I'll just grab it and claim it as mine.
How about a little game of Catch Me, Catch Me first?
Oops… I dropped it.
Chow for now.
I have to go and help Aunty D dig some holes.

Yellow Butterfly

I just love my yard.  So much to see and do.   Lately I've been treeing squirrels or I chase them out of my yard.   Fun.  Fun.  Fun.
Sometimes I like to sit quietly and just look around.

Today, when I was looking around, I saw something new on this purple bush we have in my yard.
Mom… do you see that?  It's moving!    I like things that move.
What is that?  It's not a bird.  It's not a plane.

Arooooooooo…. I spy a Butterfly!   Yippy!
Look at that…  it's floating around.  Do you think it will float over to me and give me a butterfly kiss?
This is so Pawsome !!
It keeps moving all around and around and around the bush.  I wonder if I can catch it.
Oh no… it flew away!
Maybe if I wait and sit real still, it will come back and visit with me.
Chow for now.
I have to go scouting for some more Butterflies.

Raindrops Keep Fall'n on My Head

Weather pup forecast:  Cloudy with a chance of rain.

Today when I went into my yard to play, I spied something new.
Now what do we have here?   I better check it out.

Did you click on my video?  How much fun was that?  I may have to make more videos.

Mom… can we flip it over again?   Maybe if I hide under it, I won't get my fur coat all wet.
Now that is better.

Woohoo! This red and white cover really works.

Yeah Mom, I see water on top of this thing and I'm kinda thirsty.
What do you think?  How can I get the water down here?

I'll have to think on this for awhile.
Now I just need to find something to keep my paws dry.
Maybe I should get some puppy booties.
Chow for now.

Puppy Tooth Fairy - part 2

Yippy !!!!!   The Puppy Tooth Fairy came to my house last night and I didn't even hear her.  Look what she brought me.
Woohoo!!  It's a Bone !!!!!

This bone is very cold.
The Puppy Tooth Fairy is really cool and she left her calling card.

The closer I look at it and smell it, it seems kinda
I wonder if I've seen a bone like this before.

I'm going to take it over to the corner so that no-one will take it away from me.
Wow… it is heavy (and cold).   It is also kinda hard to pick up.
This is Pawsome.  I really like gnawing on this big bone.

Mom decided that maybe I should chew on my new bone on the back porch so she moved it out there.   Now I can chew on my bone aaaaaaaaand keep an eye out for squirrels in my back yard.    My day job is Squirrel Patrol but I think I'll take the day off to gnaw on my new bone.    All this bone gnawing will take my full attention.
Yummmmmmmmm.    This is the best treat ever!
I just remembered…. my Obedience School teacher gave me a bone just like this one. I only got to gnaw on it for a little bit (at school) and then she took it back.   Hummmmmmmm…. I wonder if she has 2 jobs.  By day a Teacher and by night, the Puppy Tooth Fairy.

Arrrrrrrrrooooo.     Mom just found another one of my teeth laying in my bed.
More bones?????   I wonder how many teeth I have?

Chow for now.   I've got some serious gnawing to do.

The Puppy Tooth Fairy

I am 5 months old today!   And…. to mark the event, I lost my tooth.
Look Mom.   My tooth fell out!

I did some research on Mom's computer today, and learned on the puppynet about the Puppy Tooth Fairy.
Mom… can we put my tooth in this bag for the Puppy Tooth Fairy?
I don't understand why the Puppy Fairy wants teeth but I'm happy to trade mine for a goodie.   I wonder what she will leave me in exchange for my tooth.
Looks like my tooth is a perfect fit.

Now I have to figure out where to put it.
I'll leave it under my new blue bed and see what happens.
Mom says I have to wait until the morning to see if the Puppy Tooth Fairy leaves me anything.   I don't know if I can wait that long.

I hope she can find my house.  Maybe we should leave a light on for her.

Do any of you have experience with the Puppy Tooth Fairy?   What do you thinks she will leave me?
Chow until tomorrow.

Star Puppy

I passed my Star Puppy test today.

I was the youngest puppy in the class and Mom was very proud of me.   One of the puppies in my class did not pass and has to do more homework before he gets his certificate.

My teacher gave us Star Puppy cookies to celebrate.   She is tail-wagg'n cool.

After we got home, I was really tired and had a rest.  Test are exhausting.

This afternoon Mom gave me my Star Puppy cookie and we celebrated my graduation from Star Puppy Obedience school.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!   Is it too pretty to eat?

I taste peanut butter!!

Did I tell you that I mastered "Down" last week.  I am truly bark'n awesome at it.

I've had a busy week as Mom and I are also signed up for a follow on class and it started Monday night.   So… I've been to school twice this week already.   We want to work-up to doing some Agility, so I have to take more classes.   I think it will be fun to eventually jump over sticks and run thru tunnels.     It will be good exercise for Mom too.

In this new class we will learn some more obedience skills and we will learn some tricks.   I had to walk on bubble-wrap, a trap, and metal grid, and a board that was painted in 2 colors.   I am the youngest puppy in this class too and when I walked across the bubble-wrap, I did not pop any of the bubbles.  I guess I am too light (only 14lbs).   My new teacher had a good laugh over that.   I really like my new teacher and she has a really smart dog.  She also teaches all the Agility classes.
Chow for now.

The Day After

I really miss Gus (even if he ate up all my chew sticks).

I keep remembering all the fun we had playing together.

I think I'll just wait by the front door for him to come back.

Hey Mom… can we Skype with Gus?

Mom also bought me some new chew sticks today and I so spend most of the day finding new hiding places for them.
Maybe next time, Gus will not find this one.

Chow.  I'll bark at you soon.

The Beach Boys

Yesterday one of Mom's friends came to visit from Raleigh and she brought someone for me to play with.   Woohoo!   His name is Gus.
He is older than me and not as fast as I am, but I still had a great time with him.

After racing around in my yard for awhile… Gus was really thirsty.  I was too, but Mom says a good host waits their turn to drink.   She calls it "manners".
I don't know about manners... I only hope he leaves me some water.
Around dinner time, we all got in the car and drove to the beach.
Yippy!!!   I've been wanting to go to the beach.

Wow.     So this is the beach.
I got to run and play in the water.
The water tasted kinda funny.  Yuck.  I'm not sure I want to drink it anymore.

I played in the water for awhile and then Mom said it was time to go for a walk on the beach.
Which way should we go?
How's it look your way?

After the walk, the girls all sat down and ate dinner on the beach while Gus used his front paws to dig in the sand.   Hummm… I guess that could be fun.  So… I gave it a shot and dug me a good spot in the sand.
We had sand flying everywhere.  It was a blast.
I think I can learn a lot from Gus.
Going to the beach was the best tail-wagging time ever!    I can't wait to go back.

Gus had to go home today and I miss him already.
I hope he comes back for a visit soon.

Chow for now.
