Cloudy wiff no chance of a walk-about ..AND.. Wacky Holidays

Da day after our Icy Snow Event.

• 1" of ice covers everything.
• Children are ice skating on the street.
• Temps in the 20s.  Brrrrrrrrrr.
• Cloudy skies.
• I only get to play outside for 8-10 mins at a time.

Mom's a wimp.  Yep…. I said it…. Mom's a wimp.

I wanta go for a walk-about and check out the hood but She says it is too dangerous.  Dangerous?

• Does She think She is going to get attacked by a bear?    Doesn't she know dat I will protect Her? 
• Is She afraid of falling?    Well I guess She does have a point dare.   She only has 2 feet so She's not as sure footed like me.

Tomorrow da sun is supposed to come out and it is supposed to be high of 50 degrees.   Oh Noooooooooooooo!   All my icy snow will be gone.     Say it isn't so.

My 1st Icy Snow Adventure

First off I have to wish my Downunder buddy Floyd a Happy 2nd Barkday.

And… now for my Icy Snow Adventure.  

Wow…. someone put a white blankie on my yard.

Yep…. we gots ice mixed wiff a wee bit of snow.    It is cold on my paws and hard.  I don't even leave any pawprints in the icy snow.

I've never seen or played in the snow before (except for Sled Day dat Sarge hosted last year).

Plaid coat weather: 19 degrees in Wilmington, NC.

So… what does one do in the snow?   Oh, oh, oh…. I know, I'll do some zoomies.

Oh………..  Watch Out!   Stoppin short is a bit tricky (like sliding into home base).  Weeeeeeeeeeeee.

Mom wanted to play fetch wiff me…. but I'd rather run around some more.

   I tried to make snow angels, but the snow is too crusty.  Drat.

Dis has been loads of fun… but Mom wants me to come in now, cuz it is only 21 degrees outside.   Pawty pooper.   I think she's da one dat's cold.   I've got my furs and my plaid coat on so I'm nice and warm.

Snow in the Forecast

OMD.   I'm back one day from warm and sunny Australia and we get a winter blast of snow/ice in the forecast.

It's a good thing dat Mom bought me a new plaid coat while I was on my mini vacation.

How do I look?

Now…. we live on the coast in North Carolina and rarely get snow.   For dat matter, I have never played in the snow.   I did see a few flakes last year but dat's it.   I can't wait to see dat snow and play in it.

Mom:  No Ranger.. that's a pile of sand.
Ranger:   Can I play in it?
Mom:  No….. it belongs to the workmen who are building da house behind us.
Ranger:   But you let me play in the sand at the beach, so why can't I play in it?
Mom:   We'll play in the snow when it comes later today.   Okay?
Ranger:  Okay.  (hummm…. she thinks dat I didn't notice dat she didn't really answer my question.)

I'm back from my little va-kay-see in Australia.  My best buds Floyd & Dougall were such great host to me.     I got to see so many cool sites and I got to pawty all night, on Australia Day.

It's good to be home… but it's still COLD outside.

So…. you are probably wondering what pressies I brought back for Mom and her sister (Aunty D).  Well, I got Mom a throwing stick dat we can play wiff and...  I got flip flops for Aunty D to replace dat flip flops dat I chewed up when I was a wee little ladie.

I'm off on my mini Vacation

Wiff the noisy kitchen remodel in  progress…. I decided dat it a good time for me to take my little vacation.

Where am I going?
Well, Mom says dat I can only teleport to ONE of my friends (dis time).

It was sooooooo hard to choose cuz so many of my furfriends who live where it is warm wanted me to come and visit dem.     But on dis mini vacation, I'm going Downunder to visit my buddy Dougall.
Ya see…. it's Dougall and Floyd's birthday month and you know how much I like a good pawty.   Dey are both turning 2 and I am turning 2 in March.   Dis is a big year for all da 2 year olds in blogville.

So….. I'm off to Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia!   Arrrrrrrrrooooooooo!

Snoopervisor on the job

OMD… my kitchen is all tore-up and someone taped boxes to my floor.

Now when I walk on the boxes I make loud thumping sounds with my paws.  Drat, I can't sneak up on anyone anymore.

And... my Baby Ranger gates are up again.   At least I'm on the other side of the gates dis time.  Mom is sure messing up my space again.  And get dis…. she didn't even ask me if it was okay to make any changes.

Yippy… der are strange men, wiff toys in der bags, in my house.   Maybe dey will play wiff me.  Hello Boys.

Mom says we're remodeling the kitchen.   Hummm…. I liked it the way it was before.   Anyway…. I better get my hat and Snoopervise dis project before it gets totally out of control.

No drips from the plumbing.  Dat's good.

Dis is going to be a BIG and job.
Maybe it's a good time for me to take my little vacation.
