What did Santa Paws bring me

Yes... Santa Paws did make it to NC on Christmas and I haven't told you all about it yet.

Now you're probably wondering if I got what was on my Christmas list.   I asked for
  • A new tug toy.
  • A new stuffie.
  • A puppy brother (den I'd have a full-time play pal).  I just love puppies, just like you do Santa.
  • Some cookies/treats.

 Here's what Santa Paws brought.
But what about my puppy brother?

I got:

  • a bag of treats (yummy)
  • 2 tug toys (yippy)
  • a red spike ball (just like a my buddies used to have).   Mine even has a button da I can push wiff my teeth and turn it on.   It lights up, flashes, and and sings da Christmas Woof, Woof, Woof song.   It is pawsome.
  • And I got a blue stuffie in my stocking.

Mom says dat da blue stuffie is my new puppy brother.
Dis is my new puppy brother?
I guess I should have been more specific and said I wanted a real live puppy brother.
Lesson learned.
Maybe next year.

I still got lots of cool stuff and I must admit dat I do love my blue stuffie puppy brother.   I even let him sleep wiff me in my bed.   Oh... and he doesn't snore.   But I don't know what to call him.   Mom says dat I need to give him a name.   Got any ideas?

I hope you got everything dat you wanted from Santa Paws.

 Wags,
            Ranger

Pees..... I also got lots of grab hugs from our intruders.

On the Job

Da painters are coming today and I'm gonna check dar work (twice).   Things just gotta look good for Santa Paws visit.
Dis is my Serious, All Business look.

In other news:   I got me a pressie from Oreo (my Christmas pressie exchange partner).   Yippy!   But.. Mom says dat I can't open it until Christmas (sigh).   AND I also got a package from Chewy.   I just love dis time of year, don't you?

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooo!   I just had to let one lose.

Wags,
        Ranger

Pees…. Oh, oh, oh, did I tell you dat Mom sent all her bestest (oriental) rug to da rug cleaner?   She plans to put down some old rug for awhile.   I think it's so da puppy (dat I asked Santa Paws for) doesn't pee on it.   I'm gettin excited.   Dis could be da best Christmas ever!

Puppy Advice for Dui

Welcome to Blogville, MacDui!
Dui is a wee little laddie and is livin the high life Downunder with his big sisters Bella & Roxy.

Today is da day we all give little Dui some puppy advice.

Here's my advice for Dui:
  1. Training.  Your peep will want to teach you to do lots of useless stuff.   They will call it "training" and give you treats to do what dey want.  Act dumb so you can get loads of training treats.
  2. Confusion/Chaos.   Whatever your peep tells you to do; do da opposite.  You'll confuse dem and will never get into trouble because dey will think dat you are so darn cute.   It is soooooooo much fun messin wiff dem and to see dat confused look on dar face.
  3. Noise maker.  Silence is your friend when gettin into mischief.   Always leave da scene of destruction when you hear a noise (could be a peep coming to check on you).
  4. Property.  Anything dat you can sink your sharp little teeth into is Yours.
  5. Snatchin toys.   You are small and fast so snatchin toys from Bella and Roxy is easy peasy.   Let dem win (some of da time) cuz dey are your big sisters and will always look after you.
  6. Pickin fights.  Pick fights wiff Mom's shoes and boxes instead of your big sisters.
  7. Stuff not to eat.  Never eat chocolate or eyes off a human stuffies.
I ate one of snoopy's eyes once and had to go to da dogster.   It was a pukey kinda a day.   Enough said.
  8. Mail.  Da mailman is your friend.  He brings Blogville packages for you and your sisters.   Also, da box is not the pressie….. look inside.
  9. Food.   Only eat food out of your own dish.  Never try to eat food from your sisters' dish.   Dos girls love to eat and take dining seriously.   Do Not mess wiff dar foodables.    Now… if it is on da floor… it's free game.  Go for it.
  10. Dirt.   Dig in it, roll in it, and eat it.   Dirty is good and manly.
I'll let da others tell ya all aboutz Squirrels.

Here's my advice for Bella & Roxy:
  • Move over girls…. dare's a new alpha pup in da house.   Deal wiff it.  If he's being too pesty and you need a little peace…. just jump onto da couch.   Dui is way too little to get up on da couch.   Other dan that… enjoy da chaos and your new little shadow.
Wags,
         Ranger

Pees...   Today Oscar & Archie and Sammy has asks us to show everyone THE POWER OF THE PAW (POTP) and  to we reach our paw to all who need it.
Des are my paws.

Flashback Fridays - the best toys are free!

Aunty D made this cool toy for me (when I was a wee little laddie).   She cut up a t-shirt and then tied a knot in it.
I just loved this special hand-made toy.

Oooooops…. I can't back up anymore!

'Bushed'…. but not giving up my purple toy.

When I was teething, Mom would run it under the water and then put it in the freezer so it would be stiff and cold.   Dat felt really cool on my tender gums.   Best toy ever!

Purple-T is still in my toy basket and sometimes I pull it out and play wiff it.   It is real durable and can stand the test of time and chompin.

Hey…. maybe Aunty D should patent it and sell dem.  I bet she could make 87 zillion bones from the sales of her toy invention.

Puppy-sitting Finn

My buddy Finn (a little Westie pup) came over the other night and I got to puppy-sit play with him.
Finn
He left his big brother Wally (who is 2 yrs old) at home.   Apparently Wally needed a little respite.

Finn and I had a grrrrrrrrrreat time.
We played a little tug-a-war.

Finn is pretty scrappy …..

… but I won.

Then we went outside to play in my yard.
I was on squirrel patrol.
Come on down Finn.   Let's play tag.

We both got real thirsty after running around in my yard.
So I offered him some water.
Then Finn said that he needed a snack and that his Mom always gives him a treat after he comes in from outside.   So we went and checked out the big food box.

What do you see in there Finn?   Anything look good?
What's that?   You see cheese?
Yummmmm… lets have some of that!

Awe…….   hello Mom.
What are we up to?
Finn wanted a snack.
Sorry pal… I had to blame you.
Ya see…. I have to live with Her.

Oh…. look….. is that your Mommy and Daddy?
I guess it's time for you to go home.

Bye Finn…. next time we have a playdate…. you'll have to bring your big brother Wally.

My 1st Poem

Today I wrote a poem for my sweetheart.  I hope she likes it.

Dance'n with Mollie

I am a young and dashing scottie pup
I wonder if I can 2-step
I hear romantic music
I see dancing pigs and cats
I want to dance with Miss Mollie
I am a young and dashing scottie pup

I must declare
I am no Fred Astaire
I say this is hard work
I try not to misstep
I cry when I get a cramp
I am a young and dashing scottie pup

I understand that practice makes pawfect
I touch paws to the ground
I dream of dancing under the lights
I will try to make her proud
I hope to be a Dancing Star
I am a young and dashing scottie pup

Wags,
Ranger (maybe I should keep my day job as Jr Police Officer and rid the blogsphere of squirrels)

I got me another Award!

And No…… it' not for "cutest blogger"  (but I'd be really good at that).   OK… I'll admit it, I blew my one of my New Years Resolutions:  #1 - Not to let my cuteness go to my head.  Sigh.

I won the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award!
Hummm…………. I wonder if it's okay for me to get this one cuz I am a boy.
Oh well.  I think I'll accept it anyways.

Rules for the award:
1. Provide a link and thank the blogger who nominated you for this award.
2. Answer 10 questions.
3. Nominate 10-12 blogs that you find a joy to read.
4. Provide links to these nominated blogs and kindly let the recipients know that they have been nominated.
5. Include the award logo within your blog post
Here are the 10 questions I have to answer:
  • What is your favorite color? Blonde (cuz my Mollie is a blonde)
  • Your favorite animal? Pig (cuz Cocco gave me an award)
  • Your favorite non-alcoholic drinks? Wine (cuz that's what Cocco does)
  • Facebook or Twitter? Facebook.  (cuz Mom doesn't let me Tweet.  She says I'm not a bird.)
  • Your favorite pattern? Scottish Plaid (is there even a question about that?)
  • Do you prefer getting or giving presents? I love to get pressies!!!!!!   (Wanta give me a pressie?)
  • Your favorite number?  Pi  (Mud Pi is the bestest)
  • Your favorite day of the week?  Friday (TGIF - I love a pawty)
  • Your favorite flower?  Roses (for my sweetheart)
  • What is your passion?  Squirrel hunt'n.

Now…. who should I give it to?   I have soooooooo many new furfriends and I luz y'all, but I gotta do what I gotta do, cuz I really wanta keep this award.
New Awardees of the Sisterhood Award are…. (drumroll please):
Kyla (cuz she will probably hate this.), Downunder Daisy, Roxy, and Bella (cuz they are HOT and could use a Cool award like this), Mayor Madi (cuz it's the politically correct thing to do), Reilly and the Dweeds Denny and Jackie (cuz I like Cows with spots), Garth Riley (cuz he can play the piano - super cool), and lastly to Bert (for helping Allred find Nellie so he could take her to the V-Day Ball)
If youz hasn’t received it and I didn't name ya…. go ahead and snatch it from me (I won't tell or arrest ya).
Thank you sooooooo much Cocco, for this BIG Honor (I think).

Oh, oh, oh… I almost forgot.   Take a hop on over to see Stuart's Fun Foto of ME.   Thanks Stuart!   I luvs the hat.   Aunty D says I have a good "Hat Face".
Wags,
           Ranger

Peeeeeees.   Can someone tell me when the next Sisterhood meeting is?

Flashback Fridays - beach bag

When I was a wee wee little laddie and wanted to go to the beach...
 I'd grab Mom's beach bag,
I'd get out my beach visor,
I'd climb on into her bag, and then
wait for her to take me to the beach.

Finally… I'd shout out a big
Arrrrrrrrrrrrooooooo….
to let her know I was all ready.

I don't fit in her bag too good anymore and my visor is too small for me now, but I still love to go to the beach.   It's one of my two favorite things.   What's the other one you ask?   Let me give you a hint…. yummmmmm.

In Training... again

Mom and I went to Rally class last night.   All I can say is that SHE needs a lot of practice.   There was only one other student in the class, Jade and her Mom, and they got just about everything right (show offs), so it was kinda obvious when Mom got it wrong.   I'm gonna have to make sure SHE works really hard this week so SHE does not embarrass me next week.

So I took her on a walk so we could practice.

Lets go Mom.
How about we practice some "Heel".
Now, while I was on my walk (this morning) and helping Mom practice our obedience commands, I saw two things tat I've never seen before.

#1   Have you seen one of these?

I got all excited and ran right over to introduce myself, but he didn't smell too good.

I guess he's not gonna be a new buddy for me to play with.  He doesn't have any fur and I think his legs are broke.

#2 A dog going golfing?

Mom told me that dogs are not allowed on the golf course.   Hummmmmm.   Either Mom was "wrong" or Goldie is a rule-breaker.

Did you see that?
Goldie rides around everywhere.  I don't get it.  If you ride,  ya miss smelling all those good scents on the ground.  Tat doesn't sound good to me.
I'd rather pull Mom around and make her practice her commands.

Chow for now,
                            Ranger (Mom's new little trainer)
