I Hiked for Park Day

First I'd like to thank my buddies Finn & Charley and Gizmo for co-hosting "I Hiked for Park Day".

We interrupt this postie for an emotional outburst!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.   Did you see that dog sniffing Mollie's butt?   Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
And why is she kissing him???????   She is my girl!    If I find him, I'm gonna bite him in the butt.

Ok, I feel better now.   So…..back to Park Day.

I hiked at Greenfield Park in Wilmington, NC and I can't wait to share my park with you.
Welcome to Greenfield Park.
This was my 1st time to Greenfield Park and . . .
. . .Yikes !!!!!!!!!

Alligators in the Park's Lake?

Yup!   We have Gators in the lake.
I thinks there is only 1, but I'm not sure.

Now . . . if you visit my Park,
 Don't Feed the Gators!

I check'd…. and No Gator today.   That's good.
Maybe he's napping.
Mom says that I should not get that close to the water and she made me get back on the path.

I did see some other really cool wildlife.
I spied me a turtle.   Do you see it?

And . .  I spied me some ducks.
Quack, quack duckies!
Watch out for that Gator, duckies.

So much to see at my park.
I hike near the lake with Mom and Aunty D.

Isn't it pawsome here?

Oh!  Oh!    What's that over there?

SQUIRREL !!!
Do you see him?   Aunty D had to hold me back
or I would've gotten him!
I also spied me some Art!
Look… we have an Art Exhibit in the park!
Anyone wanta play Hopscotch?
After we hiked for awhile, I took a break and went for ride on the swingy thingy.
Look Mom… aren't those flowers bewtaful?
Mom says they're Azalea's.

Look… flowers on the roof.

Now… guess what else we have at my park.
Paddle boats.

And canoe boats.
Now I ask ya…. why would you wanta go boating in a lake that has Gators in it?  A least with a canoe… you have oars to protect you… but a paddle boat?    Go figure.

Thank you for visiting my park and following me on my Hike in the Park.
Wags,
         Ranger

Today is also Hug an Australian Day.   So I'm sending out a BIG Hug to my 3 favorite Aussie gals, Daisy, Roxy, and Bella.    HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
Who are you?   It's not Hug a Roo Day.

    1. You were teasing me? Sigh. Well… ok.
No I haven't tried Peking duck. Aunty D would not let me go in the water to chase them. Maybe we should have some Peking duck together, on our next date. Or… spaghetti and meatballs.

  3. Ranger what a pawsome park you have. I think it is terrific apart from the gators. Yikes we certainly would not go in a paddle boat. Barking! Happy Park Day. Have a fabulous Friday.

  4. That was my first thought too, Ranger. That could be literally a "last minute trip" with a canoe. Your park is wonderful, wish you had the squirrel :o)

  19. Thanks so much for the hugs. We're sending you some, too. Must be hug a scottie day somewhere.

Now, we think paddle boats, canoes and alligators might not mix well.....just a thought. Alligators can move waterways...just sayin'. But we think your park is extra exciting, lots to see and investigate. Thanks for showing us.

  20. Hi Ranger,
Thanks for stopping by with a nice comment on my blog. Wow I am SO IMPRESSED by your park. All that stunning wildlife, and such beautiful photos. And I feel that the presence of alligators totally vindicates my views about (not) venturing into the water for a swim. And no I don't care that we don't have any alligators in Scotland and the Loch Ness Monster is "just a myth"....
    Toodle pip!
