Memorial weekend Intruders

I love it when we get intruders (more peeps to play wiff).

Mom's niece Alana and her dad came for da whole weekend!   Arrrooooooooo!

I first met Alana when I was a wee little laddie.

I gave her loads of kisses.

1st time I met Alana

Hey... a dogs gotta do what a dogs gotta do to remove da evil pick thingy.   It's for her own good.

In da News: Gecko saved by da Barkers

Arrrrrrrrroooooooooooo !!!!   The Blogville Barkers won dar 1st soccer match against the Slayers.     High Paws to all da players.   Y'all did us proud!

Unfortunately I wasn't at da game cuz I was busy running down one fast and sneaky guy.

He's trying to sell me some pet Insurance!

Aunty D's son, Eric was visiting me and we got to do manly stuff.   OMD.... he even had a magic bubble makin' stick.

Weather Woos

Headlines:

• Saturday poses a dangerous risk for large hail and tornadoes in the heart of the Plains states, while Mother's Day will feature severe weather from the Upper Midwest to Texas.

Life is a Fiesta

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Are we having sandwiches today?  
I thought we were going to drink Margaritas and eat Tacos.   What did I miss?

I'm gonna grab my Mariachi band Get-tar and pop on over to see if Ruby is serving up drinks today.    Maybe I'll even serenade my girlfriend Daisy.  

Fun Facts:

• “Cinco de Mayo” is Spanish for the fifth of May.
• On May 5, 1982 Mexico fought France in the Battle of Pueblo.
• The victory helped unify Mexico. The country was elated their poorly armed troops of 4,500 men were able to defeat France’s invasion of 6,500 to 8,000 well-equipped soldiers.
• Even though Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico, it’s only widely celebrated in Pueblo. In the United States is recognized as a popular holiday to learn about Mexican culture.

Pees...... Aunty D's future daughter-in-law is from Nepal (currently living in NYC).   Sending loads of prayers for her family and friends in Nepal.   Her immediate family is ok (in Katmandu).
 
Recovery will take years for a disaster like this in such an poor nation.  Mom & Aunty D used dar plastic money to give to da American Red Cross (tagged for Nepal) and the International Medical Corps.
