Today we made it back home after we evacuated for Hurricane Florence. Aunty D found a route that avoided all da road closures, flooding, and river crest. High Paws for her pawsome navigation skills.
Happy to be Home. |
My yard has tree limbs down, an uprooted butterfly bush and leaves and debris. Not bad and of course I had to inspect/mark it all.
Mom says dat I need a bath after all my evacuating adventures. I'm not really feeling it as I had a lot of wet paws during da hurricane. She seem kinda exhausted, so I'm hoping dat she will forget.
I feel really blessed to have survived and dat my house is not too damages. Dar are loads of peeps dat loss everything and it is a real mess down here. Da dog water rescues (on da news) made me sad dat their peeps left dem behind.
Keep dos paw prayers coming as dar are lots of peeps and pups and kitties dat need dem.
Wags,
Ranger
Peeees.... I am happy to be home, butt will miss Uncle Jim's BIG TV. It was great to visit wiff him.
We are glad you are home. Mom sent some book sale money to a group that was going to your state to get animals out of the shelters and get them to safer shelters elsewhere. We are glad there are people like that. Hugs and Paws

Oh Ranger, we are so pleased that you are home safely and your house is relatively undamaged. But we are thinking about all those folk (and dogs) who have not been so lucky too.

Bertie.
We have been worried about your place so we are so happy that the damage was very minimal.
ReplyDeleteThe tail end of Florence hit us last evening. Given what we saw here, we can't even imagine. We had a tornado, which we never get. Houses are gone or damaged. 6 people seriously injured. Lady enjoyed driving in it. She loves storms! At any rate, we are safe, but without power. Thank goodness for our generator.
We're very glad your home didn't get any major damage from the hurricane, and that you and your family are OK.
ReplyDeleteMy humans simply cannot imagine leaving me home alone in the house during a gigantic storm! I'm glad we live in a place where the worst we get is the occasional blizzard or ice storm. Hopefully all those doggies and kitties' families will come back to get them.
Happy you found your home where you left it.
