Is it really Fall already?

OMD, it is officially Fall (Happy Fall!).   I got out my orange grab-ball to play wiff, but everyone is too busy to play wiff me.   Oh well, lots of activity to supervise and yesterday I did get to play wiff two different furfriends.

Mom and Aunty D have been busy cleaning up after dat Hurricane Florence.  Dey picked up all dat debris dat fell in my yard and dragged stuff to da edge of the road.  Now I've got cleared space for my zoomies.    Arrrrrrrrrrooooo!

We are still waiting for a roofer as we do have a leak and some water damage in Mom's bedroom.   Da ceiling is a bit bubbled but it's not getting any worse so we likely will not have a collapse.   We do need to find da cause of the leak and den get the ceiling repaired and da wet insulation out.   We're also waiting for an Insurance adjuster butt since our damage is small (leak and a huge missing fascia board), we are way down on da list so dey can get to those with catastrophic damage.  It's not as bad as some of our friends and da neighborhood looks like blue tarp city.  So sad.     Some of des guys dat are putting tarps on roofs are charging outrageous prices.   Mom's heard price quotes of $2500 and $1500 from some of our neighbors.  Let's hope dat we don't get a lot of rain anytime soon.

Home Again (after Florence)

Arrrrrrooooooo !!!!!
Today we made it back home after we evacuated for Hurricane Florence.    Aunty D found a route that avoided all da road closures, flooding, and river crest.   High Paws for her pawsome navigation skills.

Happy to be Home.
After inspecting our house, I am happy to report dat da only house damage was da loss of a big fascia board.   It seems to have flown way in da storm.
My yard has tree limbs down, an uprooted butterfly bush and leaves and debris.   Not bad and of course I had to inspect/mark it all.

Mom says dat I need a bath after all my evacuating adventures.   I'm not really feeling it as I had a lot of wet paws during da hurricane.   She seem kinda exhausted, so I'm hoping dat she will forget.

I feel really blessed to have survived and dat my house is not too damages.   Dar are loads of peeps dat loss everything and it is a real mess down here.   Da dog water rescues (on da news) made me sad dat their peeps left dem behind.

Keep dos paw prayers coming as dar are lots of peeps and pups and kitties dat need dem.

Stormtracker - Florence (Thursday Update)

Dis is Ranger, your WBLOGville Stormtrack Weather Dog.    And now for da latest update on Florence.

Florence has landfall in Wilmington, NC (where I live).   Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Fierce winds, loads of rain and no power back home.   It is supposed to go on for a long time.   I'm riding da hurricane out in Southern Pines (plaid paw marks da spot).

Here in Southern Pines it is scary/creepy windy butt we do   Uncle Jim had to go to work today (at the NC Zoo in Asheboro, NC) and left early, but had to turn around and is on his way home.    I'm glad he is back home safely.   I like all my peeps close by.

Thanks to all of my furfriends dat have dar paws crossed and sending pawprayers.

I hope dat our house is not too damaged but are thankful dat I am safe with Mom, Aunty D and Uncle Jim (and dat we currently still have power).  I even got to see Uncle Jim's daughter (Alana) last night.   She is a college now in UNC @ Chapel Hill and they shut down da college so she came home for a brief visit.

Stay tuned for further updates.
