Garden Woos

Here's my story.

I luv my yard/garden… and I love to dig up smell the flowers.   Last month I tore up some flowers that Aunty D planted in MY garden and Mom was not happy.   She replaced dem with stinky flowers (petunias and marigolds).   Yuck.   They are really nasty.   I don't like how they smell so I leave them alone.   Mom was very happy.

But….  look at what is blooming in my garden now.
Gardenias…. and they smell real sweet.  I like dem.

Uh-oh.   Mom will not like dis.

Who me?

I don't think she is buying it.

Dang….back in da pen I go.  Mom says she's gonna start calling me 'Ferdinand' (after da Bull).

Do ya think that will work?

Hummmm… I may be here for awhile…. she wants me to think about what I've done.  She calls it 'time-out'.

Ok… I thought about it… now can I get out and play?   I'm also gett'n kinda hungary now…. how about a treat?  Dat would be good!

What do you mean… 'NO'.

Darn…. She can be so unreasonable sometimes.    It is MY yard.
I guess I'll just take a nap now so She can think about what she's done to Me.    Good thing one of my beds and my favorite scottie blankie is in here.   Nice and cozy.

Wags,
    Ranger  ( Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz )

I'm glad we haven't a doggy-prison here - hope your pictures aren't an inspiration for my staff to buy one

    1. Mom got my doggy-prison (pen) from Walmart when I was just a wee little laddie. She puts me in there when she leaves the house. I am 1 year old now… but she still doesn't trust me to run freely around the house while she is gone. She says I have to be 2 before I can run free when she is gone. I don't mind… I just recharge (sleep) while she is gone. It is bigger dan my crate so I like it better.
Have a good day Easy… and I have my eyes on you (and my Mollie).

  5. You can stop this prison thing right now. Pretend you LOVE the crate. Humans aren't too smart and reverse psychology works on their pea-brains most of the time.

  9. We're not allowed to pick the flowers either, but usually we get put inside or just get the stern look - we don't get locked up! I don't do it of course, it's just a phase the pup is going through. He likes to help The Boss outside and sometimes he goes a little too far!
What is it with flowers? Half the time they are nasty, too smelly things that have bees in them!
    I don't get people.
Maybe you could tell her that Ranger. You spotted a bee and whilst you were killing it to save her from being stung the few blooms were collateral damage, like friendly fire.

  10. Roxy vetoed a few plants in our garden. SHE just put in some different ones.

We think you should go with the squirrels.

  13. Ranger I think you at least have a nicely decorated and comfy jail cell but it's still NOT FAIR. You've had some super good suggestions for the future though like telling your Mom you picked the flowers for her.....you might also mention that pruning plants is GOOD for them - makes them grow STRONGER and BIGGER! Personally I can't imagine looking into that face of yours and tossing you in the slammer....no way...you're way too cute! AND you won the "First Right Guesser" on the Teaser this week so you should be treated with RESPECT!
