Sewing Machine Day

Mom's sewing machine dust cover.
I spy scotties!
According to the Wacky Holidays list, today is Sewing machine day.

Dis one is for Mom.

Some of you may know dat Mom is also a quilter so I thought dat today I'd show you a some of her work dat I inspired.

First up are 4 squares dat are da beginning of a scottie calendar quilt.    So far she has done a June, July, Aug, and Sept blocks.   She designed des blocks based on photos of ME.
Calendar blocks
Now here are some fabric postcards dat she made to help raise money for an animal  shelter in Houston.
Does it look like me?

She said dis is based on baby Ranger.

Dis little piece hangs on da wall right above my food & water dishes.   She made it for a "Name dat Tune" quilt challenge at her quilt guild.
Can you guess da name of da song it represents?
Dare are more holiday  (Halloween, Fall, and xMas) quilted wall hangings dat I also inspired but you've probably already seen dem.   As you can see, Mom's sewing machine  and I have been busy.
Wags,
       Ranger

Pees…. da answer to Name dat Tune challenge is "ʍopuıʍ ǝɥʇ uı ǝıbbop ʇɐp sı ɥɔnɯ ʍoɥ"

  12. Mom is so jealous of your moms talent. Mom would love to make a scottie quilt. Name that tune - How much is that doggie in the window - Priceless.

  13. Your mom is a very good quilter! Of course without your inspiration she'd probably just have a blank, solid colored piece of fabric! Maybe you need to inspire her to quilt up a brother for you??

  18. We're big fans of that day here, too! My grand-peep has a sewing school out of their house! It is so much fun to lay 'after hours' on the tables and sew with my peep.
