  4. OMD, there are some wonderful howlidays in September (all but beheading day but we think that talks about flowers). And do you realize the Dog Politics Day is the day after our very first ever Blogville Mayoral Debate on Septemeber 22nd!?!?!?!?

  8. The 23rd is not Checkers Day because of the board game. It is because on Sept 23, 1952, Richard Nixon saved his career with a speech about his dog, Checkers. Look it up.

  12. Mom and I are going to think about celebrating some of these howlidays. Sure hope it doesn't mean I have to pose in front of the flashy beast in some crazy costume though. I will only do that if TREATS are involved!!!
