School & Fans

I was great in school today.   I paid attention to Mom and the teacher and had fun playing puppy games.
I like to "Sit" and I'm really good at it.

I did have a little trouble learning a new word.  "Down".    I really don't get "Down".     I'm kinda short and I figure that sitting is close enough to the ground.   This "Down" thing just doesn't make any sense to me.

After class we stopped by the Dr. Vet.  I needed to get weighed so I could get my monthly heartworm and flea & tic stuff.   Guess what?   I now weigh 13.5 lbs.  Mom said I was getting heavy… but aroooooo.. 13.5 lbs!

When we were going into the Dr. Vet office, someone who was getting in another car, called my name.    Her name was Gay, she lives in my neighborhood and has three scottie dogs.   I got to meet one of them.  He was really nice and I gave Gay and her dog, some puppy kisses.

I like pushing the big blue ball around with my little ball in my mouth!

Ball pouncing is woofing good fun too!
Gay reads my blog.  It was fun meeting one of my fans.

After all my morning activities, I took a longggggggg nap.

This evening I played ball with Mom.

The Olympic Games are On !

Moms is feeling a lot better and even picks me up so I can give her puppy kisses.   We also played ball yesterday.   She has to throw the ball or kick the ball with her left hand/foot but she can still send it across the yard.   She is not ready to compete in the Olympics, but she is good enough to play with me.

We have been watching the Olympics on the talk box today.
Arooooooooo.  Lots of bright colored spandex.

We watched the bike race this morning and one guy crashed (like Mom).  Sigh…
They go really fast.  I hope Mom does not ride that fast.

I was glad when they switched to swimming.  WOW… that is one BIG pool.   Makes me want to go outside and splash in my pool again.

We also watched the opening ceremony last night.  I was "dogsmacked".

What's with that big baby?    Hummmmmm.   I got my scottie babydog out, placed it on one of my blankies and then sat back and looked at it for awhile.

Nope… still don't get it.
I am woof'n confused.  I asked Mom about it, but she agreed it was bloody strange.   Maybe it got lost in translation.   Us Scots sometimes don't get the Londoners humor.
So I finally just pounced on my scottie babydog.
Now we're having some barking good fun!
The running music and the Beans guy made me BOL.   Mr. Beans looks like he would be fun to play with.  I wonder if he will be one of my BPPs.

Cheerio for now.

Wipeout

This morning Mom and Aunty D went out for their morning bike ride.   They were not gone long when they came back and Mom had to lay down on the couch with an ice pack on her head.    They left again and came back about an hour later.   Then Aunty D made a sling for Mom's arm out of a bright purple tee-shirt.
Mom… what happened?   Are you OK?
Apparently some other biker cut her off and to avoid hitting him, she swerved and flew off her bike.   Good thing she had her helmet on since she landed on her arm and hit her head.   She had a gash over her eye so they went to the Doc-in-a-box to see if she needed stitches.   The Doctor said that she could either have 7 stitches or they could use medical super glue to seal up the gash.   She now has a purple super glue line above her eye.

Mom says that she will be fine but her leg and arm are really sore.   She has to rest now, but I am going to keep a close watch over her.

Eventually Mom fell asleep so I played with the new toy Aunty D gave me.  She made it out of the same purple tee-shirt.
I think I like purple.

She is better now but cannot pick me up for awhile.   Aunty D said she will give me lots of cuddles until Mom's arm is all better.

I'm really happy that Mom is ok and am looking forward to playing with her when she is all better.   Mom says that they should have gone to the pool this morning instead of a bike ride.

Chow for now.   I have to go man my new post and lay down next to her.

Jolly Distractions

I was a maniac in school today!

I just couldn't help myself.

You see, our teacher was out sick today so her husband came in to teach the class.   I was very excited when I saw him and heard him talk to me.  He is a very jolly man and has a really cool deep voice.   I just couldn't take my eyes off of him.

Now, I know I was supposed to pay attention to Mom, but I see her all the time and sometimes she is kinda boring.

When he said "Ranger Come", I ran right to him.   When Mom said "Ranger Come", I kinda ignored her and just sat there looking up at Mr. Teacher.

Did I tell you about his treats?   Mr. Teacher had really yummy treats.   And……… they are much bigger than what Mom gives me.   Mom only gives me little treats.

So…….  needless to say, I was not the Star Puppy in class today.    I did do really good when Mom blew the whistle.   That sure got my attention and I ran right to her.

I know that Mom was not happy that I snubbed her today.  But, all the words that Mom has previously taught me, just flew out of my head.
I still Love You Mom.
Mom says that we have to do a lot more training before we go to class next week.

I'm kinda tired after all that playing with Mr. Teacher.   I think I'll take a nap now.

I really hope Mr. Teacher comes back again next week with his yummy treats.

Splish! Splash!

It is HOT outside.
This afternoon when I went into the yard, I spied a big blue water bowl.   Mom says it's a pool.
Hummmmm.    I spy one of my ball over there.

WooHoo!   There are more balls in there.

Aunty D picked me up and put me in the pool.
Yummmmm.   Tasty.   I was getting thirsty.
Got it.  I love football!

I splashed around in the water for awhile and played with my balls.   Some of the new balls are real soft and when I chomp down on them, I get more water in my mouth.  Sweeeeeeet!

I also like this new ball.  It floats around in the water.  Cool!

All done playing in the pool.
 I'm out of there!!!!!
That was fun.   My new pool is tail-waggin cool.

I have to get dry now.
Aweeeeeeeeeeee.   All wrapped up in a towel.
Stay cool.  Chow.

I Tree'd me a Squirrel Today

Today when I was playing in my yard, I saw a squirrel and chased him up a tree.

Woof! Woof!   Where are you?

I don't see him.  He must be hiding.
Maybe he is under this bush.  Or maybe he is under this one.
Arrrrrrrrroooooooo.   I think I found something!

I grabbed onto it and pulled it out from under the bush.  Now what do we have here?
It's a pinecone.  We have lots of them.

It really doesn't look like a squirrel.

I was hoping to see the squirrel again.
Mom says that "he'll be back" so I'm going to keep a look-out for him.  It's my new job.
Chow for now.   I have to go & dog my new post.

Playing with BOB

Arrrrrrrrrrooooooooo.
I love tearing up empty boxes.  Sometimes I even find treats in them.

This one smells good.

Some boxes are too big, some are too hard, this one is just right.

You can't go wrong with a good  Box Of Butter.  It's a wonderful thing.  Just ask Paula.
Chow.

My new Bernina BPPs

Yippy !!!!!!!   We went back to Sew Happins Bernina shop and I finally got to meet Sarah and John.   They are real tail-waggers and I shared my puppy breath and gave them some wet kisses.

Sarah gave me lots of love' n.

John and I had lots of laughs together.

What's that I hear?       I hear some dogs whimpering.
Yippy!!!!     The Office Pups are here today too.
I can't wait to meet Kayla and Bailey.
Sarah, my new BPP (Best Puppy Pal), introduced us.
Whooooo.   They are big.
Are you Kayla or Bailey?
Arrrrrrrooooooo…. she is whispering sweet nothings in my ear.  I wonder is she is a cougar.
Will you be my BPG (Best Puppy Gal)?

John thinks that if I was taller, I might have a chance.  They both have lots of play pals.
We did have fun running around in John's office.   I'm really good at chase since I am small and fast.
See how fast I am?

Bailey (CEO) and Kayla (COO) must be really smart since they run the office.
I can't count yet, but maybe I can learn that in puppy school and then I can help Kayla and Bailey out.

Chow for now.   I'll bark at you again, soon.

Back to School Tuesdays

Today I went back to school.     I was a little more frisky in class today.   I did really good with my "Sit" and "Heel".   Some of the other tall puppies were the stars at Heeling.
Are you taking my picture again?   Please…. I need to focus.   I'm trying to "Sit" here.

Meet my classmates.
My teacher and her Doby show us how to do things.  Doby is really really smart (and tall).
In the corner is a 1 yr old white fluffy puppy who is always ready to take on the big dogs.  She is crazy brave.

This is Zena (a Doberman puppy) with her family.  She has a really short tail and does "Heel" really good.

This is a very tall Goldendoodle.   Her name is Hallie and  she loves people and is a very good jumper.

This is our "people shy" puppy.  She is a cute little Shih Tzu puppy.   I don't remember her name as she was kinda afraid of all of us.
This is Amber.  She is a beautiful Golden Retriever puppy and was visiting our class today.   She is really soft and friendly.   I wish she could come to our class all the time.
The German Shepard (brother & sister) puppies did not come to school today.   I hope they do not get into too much trouble for cutting class.

Can we go back to "Touch"?

Today we learn "Touch" and "Wait".  I like "Touch" and got lots of yummy treats for just touching Mom's hand with my nose.  Her hands smell like cookies.

Now "Wait" is another story.  My teacher put some treats in a little bowl and told me to "Wait".  She then tried to put the bowl down for me to eat but every time I made a move to the bowl she pulled it away.   What's that all about?    I really don't get this whole "Wait" game.

Mom says we have lots of homework to do and have to play the "Wait" game some more.

After class I visited Aunty D's workplace again so I could meet Sarah & John and the Office Pups at the Sew Happins Bernina shop.   I'll blog about that visit tomorrow.  I'm kinda tired right now after all today's adventures.
I'll Bark at you tomorrow!

Busted !!!

Playing ball is one of the most fun things to do.   Well… maybe eating dinner is better.  I do like to eat dinner and all those yummy training treats.   But playing ball is lots of fun. Aunty D plays ball really good.   She makes it lots of fun and gets all excited when I chase the ball.
Me and my favorite purple ball.

Today, while  I was chasing my purple ball, I clamped down on it and POW!
Oh my…. my purple ball popped.  Wow.   That was a surprise.

I may actually like it better this way.   I can really run fast with it in my mouth now.

Yumm.   I like chewing on my ball.
Arrrrrrrrrrroooooo.   Mom took my busted ball and put it on the table.   I can't get to it now.  I guess I wasn't supposed to try to eat the ball.
Whimper...  Whine…  Sigh…    I want my ball back.

I really miss my purple ball.   Now what am I going to do?

Later in the day, Mom came back from the store and Alana (my BPP) came outside and threw me a new ball.   Yippy !!!!
Orange is tail-wagg'in cool.  Don't you think?
I may even like this one better.

Gotta go chase my new ball now.
Chow.

Bring your pup to Work (day)

Yippy!    I got to visit Aunty D's work place.   She works part-time at a really cool Bernina store in Wilmington, NC.    They have lots of fabric and sewing machines.

I really like this bag.   I think it could carry me (when I get tired) and all my toys.
There were lots of fun stuff to look at.

Aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooo!   An 830 machine.   Soooooo pretty in red.   Can we take it home in that big bag?   I bet it will fit.
I got to visit with Chris and Francie but I could not find Sarah and John.  Where is Sarah?

I checked out John's machine surgery.  Lots of tools, but no John.   sigh….

Where are the Office pups Bailey & Kayla?  Hello?  Anyone back there?

Mom says we can come back another time to visit with Sarah and John and the office pups.
I'll Bark at you again soon.
