This morning Mom and Aunty D went out for their morning bike ride. They were not gone long when they came back and Mom had to lay down on the couch with an ice pack on her head. They left again and came back about an hour later. Then Aunty D made a sling for Mom's arm out of a bright purple tee-shirt.

Mom… what happened? Are you OK? |
Apparently some other biker cut her off and to avoid hitting him, she swerved and flew off her bike. Good thing she had her helmet on since she landed on her arm and hit her head. She had a gash over her eye so they went to the Doc-in-a-box to see if she needed stitches. The Doctor said that she could either have 7 stitches or they could use medical super glue to seal up the gash. She now has a purple super glue line above her eye.
Mom says that she will be fine but her leg and arm are really sore. She has to rest now, but I am going to keep a close watch over her.
Eventually Mom fell asleep so I played with the new toy Aunty D gave me. She made it out of the same purple tee-shirt.

I think I like purple. |
She is better now but cannot pick me up for awhile. Aunty D said she will give me lots of cuddles until Mom's arm is all better.
I'm really happy that Mom is ok and am looking forward to playing with her when she is all better. Mom says that they should have gone to the pool this morning instead of a bike ride.
Chow for now. I have to go man my new post and lay down next to her.
Ranger do your bestest to take of Mom, puppies are the bestest about given out some goooooooooood lovvvvvvvvvvin!

Aww... Glad your mum was wearing her helmet, we see too many people riding near our house without one... tut-tut!
ReplyDeleteYou'd better look after her till she's better!
I'm glad your mom is alright. When I start riding my bike I'm going to use a helmet for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good boy you are, Ranger. Scotties, especially boy Scotties make the best nurses. You cuddle with your mom and she'll be better in no time. <3

Oh your mommy got a hurt. I hope she gets better fast. I would have chosen the glue also.

Haven't heard from you since the bike accident, wondering if everything is okay at your house. We check in at least once a day. Get better soon Ranger's Mom.
