HOT wiff a chance of VERY HOT

It's way tooooooooooo HOT outside.
Heat Index 100+ degrees.
Mom refuses to take me on walks.  She doesn't even take me for walkies in the early morning or at night because it is still too HOT den.    How can I do my neighborhood patrols?   And she only lets me go outside in my backyard for 5 mins at a time.   Grrrrrrrrrrrrr......

She says dat a little black dog like me should not be in the heat for long.

I know she is just trying to keep me safe and healthy but I'm getting bored being house bound.   We had dis same HOT weather last week.   Enough is enough !!!!   It's still June. We usually don't have heat waves like dis until August.

So...... I have to resort to looking out da front bedroom's window.

Oh look Mom.... da AC guys are back at the house across da street again.

    that's a very good idea, your mom had. It's not good when our paws were grilled on the hot street... stay cool and maybe you have a pool?

    WEATHER..... it is always either too HOT or to COLD or Raining or Snowing... wouldn't it be nice to have weather like in CAMELOT? Sorry buddy... hope it cools down a bit so you can get back out on Patrol.

    That is REALLY hot. It's not been that hot here and Mom and I still go out...but really I think I prefer the nice air conditioning in the house. Mom says maybe I'll want to stay out longer after I get my furs cut next Tuesday.

    we are having the same problem - we have have 100 degrees the last couple of days and Mom refuses to take us walkies in once it gets about 85 :(

    Yes, we have the same ole problem, except today we can go outside in Alcatraz and run around longer, mom is very very fussy about us and heat, and because me and gussie are black we tend to get hot faster, than mags.....mom said she is thinking about freezing us each a neckerchief so we can wear it on our walks....what walks I ask her????

    Ranger darlin' I AGREE with your mom! I've seen several folks walking black dogs over the last few days. It was 10 am or so but still hot as YOU KNOW WHAT. The sun beating down on their furs and the hot sidewalk.
    I said to my hubby those dogs didn't sign up to be owned by stupid peeps.

    I really sympathizes wit you, Ranger! It is Always hot here, even in da winter--we have a drought and have had no winter for 4 years. we has had temps in the 100's in our so-called winter-time. So I know what you means! Ugh-double ugh!
    I hope and pray it cools off for both of us!

    You can send us some of that heat Ranger, we're freezing here at the moment. Now don't BOL butt when our thermometer hits the 60'sF we pull out the extra blankets and heaters...that is C.O.L.D for us!!

    Terrier-up is my new favorite saying. I'm sorry it's so hot for you right now! Your poor pads would be burned off if you went on your patrols. Keep cool and be happy your AC is working!

    It looks like the temperatures in Florida. Mom doesn't walk us for any length of time either. She has had the a/c guy out three times in the last week. It looks like she needs a new unit and she is not happy.
