I am a bit worried. It is December 21st.
I hope he doesn't get a head cold. Maybe he has another one. Or maybe, one of his elves will come back to get it for him.
This is quite a Mystery.
What should I do? Oh… I know, maybe Officer Bites can give me some advice. Or maybe Miss Mollie will know what to do.
This is a Big responsibility (protecting Santa's hat) for a wee little lad like me.
I'll try to bark at you tomorrow to give you an update.

Hmmmm that is quite a mystery you have there ranger......I think you right...you had better keep guarding it until the owner comes back for it.

Ranger, Officer Bites here, take it a keep it in your bed with you at night, then on the 34th place it next to the fireplace so Santa can get it back. I wll make you my police assistant while you guard it!

Hmmm. I thinks it's a trick. I thinks squirrels broke into your estate last night and put it in your chair. They are hoping your 'puppy instincts' to destroy anythings fluffy, would gets you on Santa's naughty list! Don't fall for it Ranger!!

Myself, I think maybe Santa just dropped it down your chimney when he was passing by, in disguise. He probably thinks you are a good and generous boy, like a helper-in-training. Either keep it on your bed or wear it and do only good things when you do.

We think it's a test Ranger...definitely go with Officer Bites' suggestion: guard it until the 24th and then give it back...who knows maybe Santa will give you a reward for finding it!!
