Flashback Friday - Happy Fall

Yippy!

Today is da 1st Day of Fall and  
for me, it's all about da leaves.

Mom even calls me "Mr. Leaf" when I bring da leaves into da house.   Here's a tip, if you roll in them first, dey will get in your furs really good.  Den you can bring more of dem into da house.  Just sayin'.

I just luv da blowing kind.

What I like best is playing wiff Mr. Leaf Blower.

It's always great fun when Auntie D gets him out and den  sends da leaves flying all over da yard.  I can't wait to catch me some flying leaves butt Mom says da we have to wait for more leaves to fall.

I Love da Fall

I love it when Mom comes out and plays wiff me in da yard.

I know she wants me to bring my flyer back to her so she can toss it again but I have other ideas.    I would rather she chase after me and try to snatch it away from me.  
I love to see her run.   Hey... it's my job to keep Mom is good working order.

I also love:

• running through the leaves as Aunty D holds da leave blowing machine and sprays dem all over da place.
• da cooler weather cuz I can run faster and longer wiffout taking a break.
• smelling da crisp clear air.  
• chasing squirrels as dey try to stock up on dar winter supplies.
• bringing leaves into da house and watching Mom bend over and over and over to pick dem up.
• dragging around fallen pine needles in my skirt.   Yes... I said skirt.   Dat's what all my long furs are called.   My buddy Stuart reminded me da other day:  "Us Scots are tough enough to rock a beard and a skirt".    (You are in my thoughts and prayer today Stuart.)

Flashback Friday - da Attack of da Leaf Monster

One of da things dat I love about Fall is playin wiff all da leaves.

Since it is Flashback Friday, I thought dat I'd share a video of me, when I was a wee little laddie, of my very 1st encounter wiff da leaf blowing monster.  

As you can see, I sure told dat monster who's da boss.

Dancing with the Ball

The weather wass great today.  Around 70 degrees and Aunty D is blowing leaves again.  I'm kinda over all this leaf blowing thing.  

So…. I've been thinking about this dating thing.   Maybe I should learn to dance in case Mollie wants to go to the blogville Valentines Day dance (more about that later) in the new year.

Instead of just chasing my big blue ball around the yard….  maybe I should use it to practice my dancing.  It could work, don't you think?

Here is my latest video of me trying to dance with my big blue ball.   It is kinda tricky but after you get your balance right it, you can dance all around the ball.

Maybe I need to see if Mom will let me go to dancing schools.   It's either that or we'll be going through a lot of blue balls.

Fall Fun - Leaf'n & the Blower

We have had lots of wind lately and it is starting to get cold.   My yard has lots of leaves on it and sometimes when I go outside it is raining leaves.   I love to chase and snatch the leaves and then… wait for it…  I like to eat them.

Maybe we should make "Leaf Snatching"
a new pet Olympic sport.

I'm looking for that perfect leaf to eat.

Yesterday, Aunty D got out the wind machine and blew all my leaves around the yard and into a big pile.

Mom took some more videos (as y'all seem to really like videos) of my chase'n, snatch'n, and chomp'n on the blowing leaves.  Did you notice my new "southern talk"?

Going on a Leaf Hunt

It is Fall here in NC and it is raining leaves.   I love to chase, catch and chomp on them.  Mom says I'm getting extra fiber in my diet.   I don't know what that means… but chomping is fun!

Yummmm.

Yesterday Mom and Aunty D took me to the Meadow Park so I could go on a leaf hunt.

OMD… that is the biggest leaf that I have ever seen.

This leaf is soooooo big, it is kinda hard to pick up.
Maybe I should grab it from this end.

After we went on our leaf hunt, we came across a playground.  I dug in the sand and I went on the slide.  If I had a buddy.  We could slide down together.

Maybe I'll have to go with Wally next time.

Where are all the children?

Mom says it is probably too cold for the little children.   I guess they do  not have nice warm fur like me.

Time to go now.

Arrrrrooooooo.   There is another dog over there.  Maybe he will play with me and we can catch some leaves together.
